Meet Our Staff

Dr. Ronald Robbins, MD
(Medical Director)

Dr. Robbins has 39 years of experience practicing medicine as a board-certified internal medicine physician. In addition, he has held many directorship roles in various settings including Middlesex Hospital Urgent Care Centers, Preferred Care Medical Center, Quinnipiac University Physician Assistant graduate program, Whitewood Rehabilitation Center and Associates in Medicine primary care practice. Dr. Robbins enjoys the rigors of the multifaceted diagnostic challenges that are present within primary care medicine. When not in the office, Dr. Robbins can be found playing percussion, spending time with family or enjoying a Sunday afternoon football game.

Carolyn Brown, APRN

Carolyn has more than 30 years of experience as a nurse and has been a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2004. She has worked in urgent care, primary care, long-term care/rehab, and sleep medicine. She has also worked full-time or adjunct as a university professor and is currently adjunct professor in a graduate nursing program for Norwich University. Carolyn is also a U.S.A.F. Veteran. In addition to accepting patients in primary care, she is accepting patients for sleep issues including evaluation and follow-up for sleep apnea and other sleep related disorders.

Marco Ribeiro, APRN

Marco is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with experience providing care to both acute and primary care patients. He has also worked with various populations including inpatient and outpatient psychiatrics and historically underserved groups. Marco trained at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. He is accepting new patients in primary care and will see patients for all of their urgent care needs, as well. When not in the office he enjoys exploring Connecticut and the surrounding areas, reading, photography and spending time with friends and family.

Our Practice
Middlesex Medical Associates is an independent, physician-owned practice, one of the few remaining of its kind. As such, we strive to bring a community experience back to healthcare. Since opening our doors in 2000, we’ve been welcoming patients who seek care for new illnesses and primary medical needs. We are continually adding services to our practice in order to best serve our patients. At MMA, we take great pride in providing our community with high quality, personalized health care.
